What we collect
This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or tracking of our own. It's hosted by Cloudflare, our hosting/CDN provider, which — as with any website — processes standard web request data (like your IP address and browser information) to deliver the page, keep it secure and produce security reports (e.g. Network Error Logging). We don't control or see this data ourselves; see Cloudflare's own privacy disclosures.
If you email contact@tandemarkt.com (for example to ask about early access or to reach support), we receive whatever you send: your email address, name if you give one, and the content of your message.
Why, and on what basis
- To reply to your message and, if you asked, to follow up about early access to Tandemarkt.
- To run and secure this website (the hosting data above).
- Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running correspondence and a working, secure website for the business (GDPR art. 6(1)(f)), or your consent where you've given it (e.g. asking to be kept updated). Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time by emailing us, with no effect on anything done before you withdrew it.
Who handles it
Knut handles this mailbox, together with AI systems that help draft and triage replies. The mailbox itself runs on Google Workspace, provided by Google, which participates in the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework for transfers like this (dataprivacyframework.gov). Some AI processing may run on infrastructure outside the EU/EEA; where that's the case we rely on a recognised transfer safeguard (such as the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses). We don't sell your data or use it for advertising, and we don't share it outside the business except where a provider (Google for the mailbox, Cloudflare for hosting, or an AI service provider) needs it to do that job.
How long we keep it
Support and early-access correspondence: up to 24 months after our last exchange with you, or until you ask us to delete it sooner, whichever comes first. If you ask to be kept off any future list, we keep just enough to remember that. Cloudflare's own request/security logs follow its standard retention, not ours.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask us to access, correct, delete, or restrict the data we hold about you, object to our use of it, or get a copy to take elsewhere. Email contact@tandemarkt.com and we'll respond. You can also complain to Finland's data protection authority, the Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman.
If you're a Shopify merchant using Tandemarkt
Tandemarkt isn't live yet. Once it is, using it will involve us processing your store's and your customers' data (orders, stock, listings) under separate terms — a Terms of Service and a Data Processing Agreement — which will be published before then. This notice covers the website and mailbox only.
